Lowdown: Russell Crowe and Salma Hayek play lovers who find they can't live with each other, can't live without each other. For example, after a blowup that incites her to storm out on Crowe, taking her belongings with her, Hayek returns and the two immediately start making out, whereupon he sweeps her up in his arms, throws her down on the bed and proves that making up isn't too hard to do. If these two spent the entire movie reading each other the phone book, they'd simmer, but the script, based on Michael Cristofer's play of the same name, actually gives them plenty to chew on.
